The Literary Institute’s Special Prize in the National Contest for University Students

Beginning in 2026, the Estonian Academy of Sciences Under and Tuglas Literary Institute will award a Special Prize for an outstanding bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral thesis on Estonian literature as part of the National Contest for University Students, organized jointly by the Estonian Research Council and the Ministry of Education and Research.

The aim of the competition is to recognize and promote students’ research and development activities and to acknowledge outstanding academic achievements. Through its Special Prize, the Literary Institute honours a student whose research has made a significant contribution to the study of Estonian literary and cultural history, literary studies, or another field of research related to the Institute’s areas of expertise.
