The Tuglases’ Life in Nõmme

The Under and Tuglas Literary Institute invites everyone to the tour „The Tuglases’ Life in Nõmme” on Friday, 17 July at 16 the Literary Institute museum, to get a glimpse into the everyday lives of Elo and Friedebert Tuglas after they settled in Nõmme at the beginning of the Soviet occupation in 1944.
During the tour, Hegely Klaus, Senior Knowledge Transfer Specialist at the Literary Institute, will introduce the lives of the writer couple Elo and Friedebert Tuglas, focusing on their experiences in internal exile and the years that followed. The visitors will also have an opportunity to explore treasures from the museum’s collections, including books, photographs, manuscripts, and works of art belonging to the Tuglases.
The event will be held in English.
Admission is with museum ticket (€5 regular, €3 reduced for school pupils, university students, and seniors) or a Museum Card.
