Juhan Liiv Visits Under and Tuglas

We invite everyone to join us on September 3, 2026, at 4 PM at the Literary Institute’s museum for a Research Salon featuring a conversation with Tanar Kirs, researcher at the Juhan Liiv Museum and lecturer in Estonian and Comparative Literature at the University of Tartu.

We will discuss the literary canon, with a particular focus on Juhan Liiv, Marie Under, and Friedebert Tuglas, as well as the role of museums in preserving and reshaping the canon. We will also reflect on the future of museums dedicated to writers and explore their potential for development.

The event will take place in Estonian at the Museum of the Institute of Literature at Väikese Illimari 12.
